L293D a monolithic integrated, high voltage, high current, 4-channel driver, DC motors and power supplies of up to 36 Volts, the L293D chip is also known as a H-Bridge type, which is typically an electrical circuit that allows a voltage to applied across a load in either direction an output, e.g. motor.
- Can control 4 DC motors, 2 stepper motors or 2 servos
- Up to 2 step motors (Unpolar or bipolar) with single coil, double coil or interleaved stepping.
- Up to 4 two-way motors with separate 8-bit speed
4 H-Bridges: per bridge offers 0.6A (1.2A peak current) with thermal protection, the motors can control 4.5 V to 36 V DC.
Pull down resistors keep motors switched off during power-up.
2 external terminal power interface, for separate logic / motor.
